Career Management · Team Performance

Who are you without your job title?Who are your teammates without theirs?

These may be the most important questions surrounding your career, and most people can't effectively answer them.

A strong sense of true self-identity is what separates those who thrive from those who just get through the week. The same is true for teams: when people know who they are, and the team knows who it is, performance follows.

Know who you are. Then you can thrive.

One root · two paths

Same question, asked at two scales.

For a personStrip the title. Who's left?

For an organizationYou hired roles. But do you really know the people in them?

Underneath, it's the same work. Where it starts depends on who you are.

Path 01 — For Individuals

My own path.

  • "I'm good at my job — and quietly miserable."
  • "I just lost my job. Or I'm afraid I'm about to."
  • "I traded the uniform for a question mark."
  • "I just graduated and have no idea what's next."
  • "I'm doing fine. I want to be doing great."

Different feelings, one fix: work that fits who you actually are — not a tenth résumé rewrite. We help you find it.

Path 02 — For Teams & Leaders

My team's path.

  • "Good people. Hitting targets. So why does it feel flat?"
  • "We keep losing the ones we can't afford to lose."
  • "Right people, wrong lanes — and I can feel it."

Disengagement is rarely a motivation problem. When people are aligned to the right role, values, and purpose, performance follows. We help you design those conditions on purpose.

The Helsinki Bus Station Theory

Surviving and thriving are not the same.

At the Helsinki bus station, dozens of buses leave on the same route, making the same stops for the first few miles. Photographer Arno Minkkinen told graduating artists that their unique vision only shows up further down the line, where the routes finally split. His advice: stay on the bus.

In a career, most people do the opposite. They hit the question, “Is this all there is?” — then grab a cab back to the station, tweak the résumé, and board a similar bus in a different building. Same route. Same stops.

The Résumé Trap

Surviving

— High capability, low fulfillment
— Carrying your work instead of being carried by it
— The Sunday night dread that keeps coming back
— Changing buses instead of naming the real issue
— Functioning — but quietly becoming less yourself
The right bus, in the right station

Thriving

▲ Monday is the start of something you want to build
▲ Energy returns because the work finally fits
▲ Footing on the hard days — direction, not ease
▲ Language for who you are and what you bring
▲ Coming alive in the work, not just getting through it

You don't need a new résumé. You need a new sequence.

Changing buses does no good if you're in the wrong station. We help you find the right station first — then the right bus.

The framework behind every engagement

The
ReLAUNCH Alignment Multiplier™

Strengths × Values × Purpose

Alignment multiplies the impact.

Thrivewhen all three align

Strengths

→ Engagement

Strengths reflect the abilities, patterns, talents, and ways of contributing that come most naturally to an individual. When people consistently apply their strengths in meaningful ways, they are more likely to become deeply engaged in their work and contribution.

The question is not simply, “What am I good at?” It is, “Where do I naturally create value, and what happens when I have the opportunity to do more of it?”

Values

→ Meaning

Values reflect what matters most to an individual. They influence priorities, decisions, relationships, environments, and the kinds of work or contribution that feel worthwhile.

When an individual’s work and choices are consistent with deeply held values, the experience becomes more meaningful.

The question becomes, “What matters enough to me that it should influence how I work, lead, and live?”

Purpose

→ Fulfillment

Purpose provides direction. It connects an individual’s strengths and values to something beyond immediate tasks, titles, compensation, or achievement.

When individuals understand how their strengths and values can be directed toward something meaningful, they experience a deeper sense of fulfillment.

Purpose helps answer, “Why does my contribution matter?”

▼ The root of all of it

A clear sense of Self-Identity

Strengths, values, and purpose only line up once you know who you are. That's where we start — and it's what makes everything above it possible.

The WHYteboard Coaching® Session

We don't read you a personality test. We read your life.

Who you are is already there — in the stories you've never been asked to tell.

You bring the real stories: the win you're proudest of, the time you lost track of the hours, the line you wouldn't cross. We find the evidence inside them — the strengths you actually use, the values you actually defend, the purpose you keep returning to.

Not from a quiz that guesses who you are. From what you've already done.

01

Tell

You share the real stories — the wins, the turning points, the moments that stuck with you.

02

Find

We pull the evidence — Strengths, then Values, then Purpose — proven by what you did, not what a test assumed.

03

Articulate

We turn it into your Thrive Story: who you are, what you bring, and why it matters — in your own voice.

04

Align

You target the roles, teams, and environments that fit — and recognize misalignment early, before it costs you.

The ReLAUNCH Alignment Multiplier

A practical framework for greater meaning, fulfillment, and thriving in your work.

Pottinger · Clay · Brennan

The thinking behind the work

We wrote the book on it. Literally.

Thriving isn't accidental. It's designed.

Our methodology isn't improvised — it's the framework our founders developed across military service, executive education, and global consulting, and captured in The ReLAUNCH Alignment Multiplier. It names something many people feel but struggle to explain: work becomes possible to thrive in when strengths, values, and purpose reinforce one another instead of pulling against each other.

By Jeff Pottinger, Chad Clay & Pete Brennan · Co-Founders, ReLAUNCH Advisors

Your next step starts now

Stop surviving your work. Start thriving in it.

No guessing. No tenth résumé rewrite. Just the clarity that makes the right move obvious — whether you're resetting your own path or your whole team's.
